Web ChangesThis is where we'll announce the most recent additions to our web site. If you've visited us before and want to know what's changed, take a look here first. We have been very busy in the pharmacy world recently. Not only is Easter one of our busiest periods for prescriptions, but we have a number of new additions to the services we provide. Our Weight Management service and the 'Think Pharmacy First' scheme are now up and running.

The H1N1 Swine flu virus has appeared in the news again after the WHO has officially announced it is now a pandemic. Your pharmacist will be able to give you advice and information about what to do if you or your family is affected.
Davison Chemist Seaton Burn are pleased to welcome their new part-time pharmacist Kathryn Colledge, who will work alongside their existing part-time pharmacist Hazel. You may also see Kathryn working in the other two stores as well.

Davison Chemist will soon be taking part in the C-Card Scheme for under 25s.
the MHRA has advised that choline salicylate oral gels (Bonjela and Bonjela Cool) should only be used in adults over the age of 16 due to a theoretical risk of Reye's syndrome. Ask your pharmacist if you have any concerns regarding the use of Bonjela or Bonjela Cool. 'Alli', the only licensed weight loss product available over the counter is now available, priced at £32.95 for 42 or £49.95 for 84.
Catch Hayley, the pharmacist from Burradon on BBC Radio Newcastle to talk about Alli. She will be interviewed at about 10.40am on Tuesday 21st April 2009.
You can now buy 'Clamelle' Chlamydia test kits at your local Davison Chemist. If you test positive, you can also buy treatment over-the-counter. Find out more information in our 'Products' section.
A new product will be on the market in April 2009. Alli is the only weight management medicine licensed for over the counter sale in Europe. Davison Chemist will be offering Alli in conjunction with it's new Weight Management Service. Find more information in our 'Services' section.
The North of Tyne Minor Ailments Scheme is changing. Renamed 'Pharmacy First', the scheme is now available to those who are exempt from prescription charges due to income-related exemptions. Find out more in our 'Services' section
Fun was had by all at Davison Chemist Burradon in aid of Red Nose Day 2009. Hayley, the pharmacist, and Amanda, the dispenser, wore their pyjamas to work, including dressing gowns and slippers! They made a total of £38.00 on the day. Thanks to all those who donated.
